Ninja Cat
I’m checked into my hotel in San Francisco, and I’ve got a full belly, so just a quick Cat Post and off to bed for me…

When I was in the Bay Area a couple of weeks ago, high school classmate David Lenihan offered to give me a tour of LucasFilm, where he works as an R&D engineer. Like any good Star Wars geek, I immediately accepted!
LucasFilm has a number of campuses, and the one in San Francisco is located on the former grounds of the Presidio. You wouldn’t even know it was there, except for the statue outside of Yoda.

I’m in San Francisco this week, as a crew from Apogee Search are heading out to staff our booth at Online Market World.
Feel free to come on by and see us on the show floor, or even see the panel with Apogee founder and CEO William Leake.

Return to Honeymoon in St. Lucia, Part One, should you desire.
Now lets take a look at some of the photos from our first excursion in St. Lucia, the “Catamaran Day Sail with Lunch and Snorkel”. Although we booked our excursion prior to the honeymoon, we were on a sailboat with couples from the Sandals Resorts in the island. So, no kids!
We loaded into our catamaran in Castries, and headed down the west side of the island, eventually…

Maybe Sherman is having them tank this season so they’ll get a top pick in next year’s draft … – austintex, HornFans.com
The short answer is “no”.
For a longer answer, let’s review the season so far. They opened the season with a loss at home to Arkansas State. That’s about as bad a start to a season as one can have.
Next, they go on the road and squeeze out a win against New Mexico. Aggie faithful celebrate this…

The Piggies came to town today. I still have post traumatic stress disorder from their last visit. No problems today, however, as Texas wins by the score of 52-10 for the third time this year (fourth win total). A great first step on their six week tough road.
Pregame was the usual great show.
I managed to get a couple of decent shots of the game, even though I only had my wife’s little digicam (the only long…

7th Worst Sequel of all Time – Highlander 2: The Quickening – The original Highlander is one of my favorite movies. When the sequel was announced, I waited with great anticipation for the opening. Fortunately, I was warned of how horrible it was beforehand. Apparently, Highlander was even bigger in Europe than it was in the United States. As a result, the sequel opened in Europe about six months before it opened here. A co-worker, who had just moved from…

John McCain couldn’t win the election tonight, but he certainly could have lost it.
Between McCain’s bizarre two day pause in his campaign and an undeniable deficit in charisma (compared to Obama), most weren’t expecting much from the Republican presidential candidate tonight. With those lowered expectations, McCain outperformed.
Granted, the topic was as favorable to McCain as any he’s going to face. While I disagree with many of his positions, he has solid expertise in foreign policy. Economics, however, clearly…

Just a quick photoblog entry with some of our photos from the St. Lucian part of our honeymoon in July…
We stayed at the Sandals Grande St. Lucia, which is at the very north of the island on a peninsula. The resort faces out onto a bay on the Caribbean.
Our room, however, faced away from the main sections of the resort, out onto the Atlantic. This provided a tranquil escape from the party.
While this was my…

A Hurricane Ike altered schedule results in a scary six-game stretch starting for the Texas Longhorns this weekend:
- 9/27: Arkansas at home
- 10/4: At Colorado
- 10/11: Oklahoma in Dallas
- 10/18: Missouri at home
- 10/25: Oklahoma State at home
- 11/1: At Texas Tech
Arkansas, Colorado and Okie Lite should all be wins, but Texas is young enough that they could easily loose one of the three. OU, Mizzou and Tech all look tough, and any of them could…
