SFC Farmers Market at Sunset Valley
Austin loves a farmers market. There must be a dozen or more around the greater Austin area alone. These markets focus on locally grown, and often sustainable, food and other products.

The Wife and I returned to Cap City Comedy Club last night, this time to see Iliza Shlesinger. Iliza is the most recent winner, first female winner, and youngest winner of Last Comic Standing. She’s also appeared on the roundtable on Chelsea Lately. It seems that the Wife and I discover most comics there lately.

The Wife and I went to see John Caparulo at the Cap City Comedy Club last night. John has appeared on Craig Kilborn, The Tonight Show, Blue Comedy Tour: The Next Generation, and a half-hour special on Comedy Central. But the WIfe and I know him for his regular appearances on the Round Table on Chelsea Lately.

Every time there’s the slightest amount of snow in Central Texas, the entire city of Austin shuts down. Usually, this is an overreaction.
Today was different. When I got up this morning, it was already sleeting. A couple of hours later, it turned to snow, and it’s been snowing on and off since then. In nearly four decades in Austin, I’m not sure I can remember when we’ve gotten so much snow.

My Jury Duty Experience
A few weeks back, I received a jury summons. I’ve never served on a jury, and I wouldn’t mind doing so, except that right now I’m relatively busy with client work. In addition, I’m bidding some projects that I might lose if I end up spending two or three weeks in a jury box.
