Honeymoon in St. Lucia, Part One

Just a quick photoblog entry with some of our photos from the St. Lucian part of our honeymoon in July…

We stayed at the Sandals Grande St. Lucia, which is at the very north of the island on a peninsula. The resort faces out onto a bay on the Caribbean.

Our room, however, faced away from the main sections of the resort, out onto the Atlantic. This provided a tranquil escape from the party.

While this was my first time at an all-inclusive, I expect the experience is fairly par for the course. The food, while not extraordinary, was certainly not bad. Drinks are decent and plentiful. The scenery is beautiful. The pace is not hurried. And the couples only policy of Sandals was welcome after our four days at the Marriott Resort and Casino in San Juan, Puerto Rico (details coming in a future posting).
