The Dallas Morning News is reporting that former Texas Longhorn Roy Williams has been traded from Detroit to Dallas. Dallas gives Detroit their 1st, 3rd and 6th round draft picks next year, while Detroit gives Dallas their 7th round pick.
That’s a considerable amount to give up, although the move puts Roy and TO split wide in the same offense, and moves Patrick Crayton back to the slot where he should be more effective. With this receiving corps (don’t forget Jason Witten), even Brad Johnson should be able to move the ball.
And, it’ll be good to have Roy back in the State of Texas where he belongs.
Nevertheless, the Cowboys are still rather short-handed, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
