Oklahoma fielded their worst offense in the Bob Stoops era this year. Injuries kept Sam Bradford out for most of the season, and the offensive line has as many holes as a TSA security plan.
On the other hand, the Sooners defense is solid, and the team has been placed in a bowl game commensurate with their abilities for the first time in several seasons.
The Stanford defense has been sketchy at best, but their offense been good all year. Their best performer is Toby Gerhart, the top running back in Division I FBS. Quarterback Andrew Luck is questionable for the game because of surgery on his throwing hand. If the Cardinal can manage a bit of a passing game, OU could be in trouble.
I think the OU defense contains Gerhart just enough to slip by with a victory, 21-17.
